Gratitude is one of the deepest Jewish values. Being thankful for the world around us, for the teachers who shape us, for the communities that embrace us, for the God who brought us out of Egypt – this is one of our primary tasks as Jews.

And the way we express gratitude in Judaism? By giving tzedakah. Giving tzedakah – that is, giving money to support our Jewish institutions and the poor in our community – is one of the highest Jewish mitzvot. In fact, Jewish law teaches us that even a person who receives his or her income from tzedakah funds, must him- or herself give tzedakah.

We are dependent on your giving. We need your giving in order to fund our top-quality religious school. We need your giving in order to maintain our vibrant and dynamic synagogue. We need your giving to make our Jewish community thrive, not only today, not only tomorrow, but for decades to come.

Give to Tifereth Israel, and give generously. You can do so right here, or you can speak to our Executive Director or clergy if you are considering a major gift to help ensure our community’s vibrancy and longevity.
