Congregation Tifereth Israel

TI Youth

There is something for everyone at Tifereth Israel – including kids!

Fun with friends, leadership opportunities, community service, and more are all set in the context of Jewish life with the goal of enhancing each child’s Jewish journey.

Our youth groups include:

Tifereth Israel’s chapter of United Synagogue Youth, an international youth group for teens in grades 9 through 12, promotes the goal of inspiring young Jews to explore, celebrate, and practice ethical values, Jewish living, Zionism, and community responsibility based on the ideology of the Conservative Movement. The chapter officers for  2019/20 are:

  • Maya Cohen, President
  • Beth Littman, SATO VP & Membership/Kadima VP
  • Rebecca Tepper, Communications VP & Israel Affairs VP
  • Shai Lasher, SATO VP & Communications VP
  • Hayley Willen, Membership/Kadima VP & Freshman Representative

USY’s program for pre-teens in grades 6 through 8, is closely tied to USY,  and offers recreational activities, holiday celebrations, leadership development, weekend retreats, community service projects, and more. Kadima helps middle schoolers meet new people and have fun, stay engaged in Jewish life and learning, experience the joy of Judaism, and develop leadership and social skills.

TI K-5
Designed for some of our youngest members, TI K-5 builds on the lessons learned in religious school and brings them out of the classroom and into the real world.
