Hebrew High School

Congregation Tifereth Israel’s Samuel M. Melton Hebrew High School is a supplementary educational program offering advanced opportunities for furthering the cultural and religious education of our Grade 8-12 students.  Our School meets on Sunday morning and students have their choice from approximately 20 different classes each semester on engaging topics ranging from Bible, Ethics or Kosher cooking to Israel and dealing with Jewish issues that affect the modern Jewish teenager.  These classes are taught by community Rabbis, professors, teachers and educators. Of particular interest, we are pleased to offer Hebrew for High school credit or College placement to our students (please see link). There are no tests or grades, our classes are participatory and discussion driven.  At the end of a student’s career at the High School, a transcript can be issued upon request, listing each class a student has taken during their time in our school; these transcripts can be presented to colleges for possible credit or other considerations.
