President’s Message:
Welcome! If you are a current member or a prospective member, please spend some time looking at the Faces of Sisterhood, Upcoming Events or our Board list.
The Sisterhood of Congregation Tifereth Israel is a dynamic organization and a vital part of our Synagogue. Our Mission is to support our congregation, its youth and religious school and to strengthen Conservative Judaism in the home and Synagogue. We are affiliated with the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, which provides services to all affiliated women’s groups in Conservative Synagogues in North America and is part of the worldwide Conservative/Masorti Movement. Our Sisterhood is a member of the Central Great Lakes Region. The Region includes sisterhoods in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio.
Sisterhood membership is a real bargain. Only $25.00 a years gives you the opportunity to spend time with like-minded women, in activities such as knitting; adult education; movies in the library; the Sisterhood listserv; Jewish Book Fair programming; supporting Torah Fund and many other activities. If you wish to join Sisterhood, print the membership and interests forms, complete them and send them with your check to Sandy Lees or Toby Paine
