Would you like to help Tifereth Israel while doing your weekly shopping and filling your car with fuel?  the Kroger Community Rewards program does just that!  By registering your Kroger Plus Card, every purchase you make at Kroger (food, fuel, gift cards for other retailers) rebates 5% to Tifereth Israel!  There is NO charge to you, nor does it affect the cost of what you buy.  Call the synagogue office, or email Marc Neiwirth mneiwirth@tiferethisrael.org if you need more information.  It costs you NOTHING to participate!

Why use a Kroger Community Rewards?

You should enroll in Kroger Community Rewards because the synagogue benefits from your purchases.  Kroger will rebate a portion of what you spend on your purchases to the synagogue.  Just think, if of our members just register for the program and purchase do their regular shopping, the synagogue will receive a rebate check each month!

 

How do I enroll in Kroger Community Rewards?

  • Simply click on "Enroll" and register online at www.krogercommunityrewards.com
  • Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with your organization after you sign up.
  • If you do not yet have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.
  • Click on Sign In/Register
  • Most participants are new online customers, so you must click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box.
  • Sign up for a Kroger Community Rewards by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
  • You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.
  • Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
  • Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
  • Update or confirm your information.
  • Enter the NPO number for TI (82245) select Tifereth Israel from list and click on confirm.
  • To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your information page.
  • REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your group until after your member(s) register their card(s).
  • Do you use your phone number at the register?  Call 877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
  • Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
  • If you are interested in the alternate SCANBAR method of member registration, please call 800-837-4483 and a SCANBAR letter will be mailed to you.

What can I buy at Kroger that counts towards the contribution?

Anything in Kroger stores, including gasoline and gift cards for other retailers, with the exception of "services".  Services include: money orders, Western Union, lottery tickets, hunting/fishing licenses and Ticket Master.

 

Can I still get my usual discounts and gas points?

Yes.  Use this when you purchase your groceries and receive the usual discounts and gas points.

 

What will the synagogue do with the money?

The synagogue will use this money to cover what dues alone will not.  Dues only cover approximately 60% of expenses.  That’s why the synagogue needs to raise money through the annual appeal, High Holiday honors, spotlight series, etc.

 

How many organizations participate?

More than 29,000 schools, clubs, churches, synagogues and other non-profit organizations earned funds through the discounted gift certificate and rebate programs in all retail divisions.  This fundraising program is Kroger’s largest community activity, resulting in contributions of more than $30 million in 2006.
